The Tribe has a grant from the federal department of Justice’s Office of Victims of Crime.  This program is intended to help members who have experienced personally a crime recover from the emotional and physical trauma that occurs. The Family Advocates support these victims to secure needed services.  Each victim’s experience is different and so will be the services needed for them to recover and resume their life.   The Safe House is an example of the service that may be provided.  But in most cases, the services will be provided by other community-based agencies.
